Here’s my version of the good old coleslaw, one of my favorite side dishes for the BBQ. It can be prepared early the same day or even the day before you’re about to serve it.
INGREDIENTS (4-6 persons)
- 14 oz (ca 400 grams) cabbage
- 1 small carrot (about 2 oz or 60 grams)
- 1 cup (ca 240 grams) mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon of dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- A pinch of salt
- black peppar
Start with cabbage and use a cheese slicer to get really thin strips of cabbage. Then use a grater to tear carrot as thin as possible.
Mix the prepared cabbage and carrot with mayonnaise, dijon mustard and honey ‘til an even mix. Add a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper until you get that perfect taste.
Let the coleslaw rest at least for a couple of hours. Serve with your favorite meat.
